Milky Way is engulfed in the fires of the Second Galactic War - devastating existential conflict between four powers, each seeking to claim the galaxy for themselves...
At the center of this conflict stands the Federation of Super Earth - the great human civilization, once claimed the Galaxy for itself, and now refusing to back off. Formed from a bunch of Old Earth countries surviving the Last Great War, the Federation is a democratic, egalitarian, highly organized progressive society, focused expansion and defense while maintaining a balance between order and freedom. In it's complex systems the state's military might supports civilian progress, and vice versa, ensuring a prosperous lives for those, who deserve it through merit.

Then here is the list of actual changes we've made to the official canon - the core of LaNIverse:
- Satire changes - first and foremost. As it was said in disclaimer, satire was turned down a severe notch. Here's how:
- Factions overhaul - from enemies to how exactly they interact with and between each other.
- Legal system rework - from the basics of things, like “who commands the law enforcements?” to the complex topics of “What's even a crime here?”
- Overall damn tonality - because screaming “dissident” at the first person who disagrees with you is cringe🗿. People of LaNIverse deserve better.
- Politics, ya~ay! - Well, because after changing the Super Earth, you gotta actually think how it will affect it's policies, both ex- and internal.
- Our beloved propaganda and informational warfare theme - the TV, the messages, all that sort of things.
It is important to remember that some satire still present - without it there is no Super Earth. We left the Citisenship Score System intact, for example. Just reworked the hell out of it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- Logical changes - we explain what can be explained. And if we want to. Then we use the Rule of Cool for rest.
- Well, first the basics - work principles of stims, stratagems and cosmic vessels. The good stuff. Simple stuff.
- Then there's a whole-ass Helldiver Contract of Employemt rewritten an re-composed - yes, that one stone slate to your left after the obstacle course. It's is now a real deal.
- The Galactic War itself got overhauled as well - now it's the actually strategic conflict, that looks a lot like 4-player chess and a lot less like mindless meatgrinder it is in official game.
- Civilian life - starting from an attempt at currency system revision, and ending with such essencials as public transport, both on- and off the planet.
- Finally the fun part - our own, original additions to the setting, which completes the transformation to the LaNIverse:
- New mechs - EXO-50 and EXO-77
- New stratagems - starting from something obvious like emergency med-evac, to the completely original LES-Unit squad deployment
